The singer and frontman of Tokio Hotel, Bill Kaulitz, is an amazing guy. But not many people know what is really inside this 16 year-old guy's head...
Bill is the creative part of the group. He is a composer of many songs and he also writes the lyrics...
Bravo: Do you remember the first text you have written?
Bill: Yes. I was 9 then. It was devoted to our mice mich had just died. It didn’t fit to our repertoire (laughing). But „Leb die Sekunde” is also a very old one – nevertheless it’s on our album!
Bravo: How did you handle with the last „hot” months?
Bill: It’s so cool! Howevery, there was much more stress than we could have expected before. Some people think that if you have released an album you immediately earn loads of money and meet only famous people. If you knew how tight dressing rooms we get even on the biggest concerts. But in genearl it’s really great...
Bravo: What would be the reason if you ever leave the band?
Bill: It’s out of question! This band is exactly what I’ve been always dreaming about. And I’m really glad that music appeared in my life in such young age.
Bravo: What is the most important thing in your life?
Bill: My mum, my brother Tom and Tokio Hotel of course!
Bravo: Is there anything that your mum or your brother don’t know about you?
Bill: No! We really talk about everything. I can talk with my mum about whatever I want. There is nothing she doesn’t know about me. The same is with me and Tom!
Bravo: Have you laways has good realtions with your parents?
Bill: Yes. They have always been supporting us in our music activities. They are very important for me. That’s so cool they have always been giving us free hand in everything. Of course, there were some rules. But we really get on well with each other.
Bravo: How is it like to get a love letter from a fan?
Bill: It’s really nice. I’m happy from every single letter. But sometimes I’m remorseful...
Bravo: Why?
Bill: Our fans put so much work, heart and time in writing them. And they write so nice things! But we can’t answer all of them as we don’t have time for that.
Bravo: Do you have any other dreams?
Bill: Yes! I want to finally sing in Tokio!

Tom
Tom Kaulitz (16) is not just the guitarist of Tokio Hotel, but also the biggest heartbreaker in the band. He tols us some interesting things about his life!
With his angelic face and lighthearted style he broke not just a few hearts. Tom, Bill’s twin brother, claims that he hasn’t changed at all...
Bravo: Tom, tell us the truth, did you start making music to meet more girls?
tom: I didn’t have to. Girls wanted to go out with me even in primary school. I was always getting love letters. Well, I look pretty good (laughing). I started making music as it’s always been my dream.
Bravo: How do you learn to play the guitar?
Tom: Our stepfather owns a music school. He taught me all the basic things. I‘ve learnt the rest by myself. I was sitting and playing as long as I learnt the new hold.
Bravo: Have you ever had any other hobby?
Tom: Yes, f.ex. graffiti. I liked that really long. But rather on a paper or on hidden walls. I’ve always wanted to use a wagon but I’m not brave anough (lol).Art. was my favourite subject and I think I could possibly study designing. Nevertheless, music has been always on top of the list in my life.
Bravo: What was the first song you were able to play?
Tom: „Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” Guns N’Roses version. Today I take part in writing the music in the band. But Bill’s the one who takes care of the lyrics.
Bravo: Would you ever call yourself a rockandroller?
Tom: Nooooo. Typical rock fans are totally easy blithe. They do what they want and don’t care about any problems. I’m not like that. I’m touchy and inpatient.
Bravo: But you are the one who has the most groupies?
Tom: Bill is always saying he believes in a real love (go Bill!!!). In my opinion you should look for it to rind it. And that’s what I’m doing at the ocazie .
Bravo: So how can a girl realize that you are like her?
Tom: If I like any girl I try to to enter into eye communication with her until she sees I want something from her. If she looks back, I talk with her. I can always think up something...
Bravo: And how can a girl make you to turn on her?
Tom: Shorst kirts and high-heeled shoes are sexy. But nice face is the most important!

Gustav
Gustav Schaefer used to have complexes as he was the shortest guy at school. Today this 17 year-old drummer of Tokio Hotel doesn’t care about these things any more.
Gustav is the biggest card in the band. He’s welloiled but some time ago he even liked to sock some people with his fists! He told us about his biggest boners.
Bravo: Have you already been at school such a joker?
Gustav: In primary school I was the shortest but not the most invisible one! I used to make my height up with aggression and sometimes I got hit back.
Bravo: Have you ever done anything wrong seriously?
Gustav: Even literally! Once I was playing with my freind with matches. I was a real sod then. We made a solid fire! It all finished lucky as we extinguished it, but that was stupid.
Bravo: Have you ever done something embarrasing?
Gustav: Once I got an addres of a girl I had a crash on. I sent her a letter with my mobile number. Finally my mobile rang. In the receiver I heard her boyfriend’s voice and he said: - I just want to tell you you have no chances. Forget it!
Bravo: Do you often fall in love?
Gustav: I fell in love twice. The first one had already met someone else. The second one was living to far away from me. There wouldn’t be any point in being together...
Bravo: Have you ever asked anyone for help with love problems?
Gustav: Yes, my sister Franziska. She’s 25. She advised me how to talk with one girl, who I saw every morning at the bus stop. But I never dared to talk woth her.
Bravo: Do you still live with your parents?
Gustav: Yes, in my family house. I have a big room. There are my drums and my fish tank. But I can play after 5 p.m. as there works an undertaker and he deosn’t like too much noise...
Bravo: Have you always wanted to become a drummer?
Gustav: I used to hum the rythm so my dad enrolled mo to a music school. I wanted to play the guitar but I have too thick fingers – I can’t move them as fast as Tom!
Bravo: Have you ever tried any stimulants?
Gustav: I don’t smoke or take any drugs! Sometimes I drink a beer but I never get drunk. I hate people who get drunk and then they argue with anyone. You should know the limit!

Georg
The bass of the band, Georg Listing, looks like a shy, not talkative guy. But if you know him better, he is a suprisingly open-minded person...
Georg is a type of tough cookie but with a touchy heart. He laso belongs to people who think before they say anything. Well, he is the oldest in Tokio Hotel – he’s 19.
Bravo: Do you feel like a daddy of the band?
Georg: Noooo. I’’m just 2 years older than the twins. Of course, sometimes I don’t want to make fun with them. But in general it’s not a problem for me. We treat serious each other, no matter if we are 16 or 19.
Bravo: You come from the eastern Germany, so from the land which was under comunism. What do you think about that divide?
Georg: That’s stupid for me. Germany united 16 years ago so we don’t have to talk about that any more. I don’t talk about that with my friends.
Bravo: What are your memories from your childhood?
Georg: I was 3 or 4. I was born and grew up in a city called Halle. There was always planty of black ravens pn the trees. I remember staring at them from my small bed. I was afraid of them a bit.
Bravo: Your song „Gegen meinen Willen” (Against my will) says about a divorce of parents. Your parents are divorced, too, aren’t they?
Georg: Yes, my mother raised me alone – strictly but very neatly. I haven’t had any atingere with father for a long time.
Bravo: What kind of girls do you like?
Georg: The ones I can talk with. The girl shouldn’t just kept saying YES, DARLING. She should have her own opinion. And she should accept the fact that now music is the most important thing for me.
Bravo: Your motto is „Fullfil your dreams” What dreams exactly?
Georg: I want to travel around the whole world, to see and hear as much as possible. That’s extremely inspiring.
Bravo: You are fascinated with big cities and hotels. That’s why you call yourselves Tokio Hotel
Georg: It sounds really cool. We could call ourselves just „Berlin Inn” but that would’s sound too attractive

They're playing love songs on the radio. I can't relate to that right now.. See, my life has it's ups and downs, it's high points and low points.

despre cantece

1. „Schrei” (Scream)
Due to our clothes and our general appearance out teachers or people from our school thought we were not normal. In „Schrei” we wanted to express our anger and tell the others that we want to have our own opionions and style. It’s also about our frustration as we had to give up many times. We hated that. That’s why we had to scream, to show our frustration. When we are playing this song on our concerts we can get rid of our agression. That’s some kind of purification. You can also understand the title as „I will always be with you”. We’ve established in out group that if any of us would like to leave us, he would have to shout it!

2. Durch den Monsun (Through the Monsoon)
When we started playing together we wanted to fix with our producers which song we play the best. DDM begins like a slow ballad but in the end it’s bery fast and loud. We thought this song shows the character of out album. There are both ballads and rock songs. I wrote the most important stanzas just after the split with my girlfriend. Later I realised that I had made a mistake and I missed her really much. In this song you can find a description of a lost love tha I found in a different world. Ther are mnay traps, dangers and weird situations that you must fight with to meet this person again. When this song got to the top of the lists Tom, Georg, Gustav and me were almost mad of happiness. They told us that during one of our interviews... Then we started to jump and scream. Later we made a party to celebrate it. I will never forget it...

3. Leb die Sekunde (Live the Second)
I wrote this song when I was 10. It was made during one of a weekends when I was at home and there was nothing interesting to do. But I’m a person, who can’t sit and do nothing. I must know what is happening and take part in it. Serach for and participate in every moment. Live as much as I can. That’s not to difficult: we just live the second. I know that many people in our age don’t live as we do now. We’re visiting many countries and we’re really happy of that! But... this life style ist’n neither easy nor pleasant. If you are sad listen to this song and think that you should use every moment. By the way, I had a ocazie in my life that I will always remember: the day when we took part in the concert in Magdeburg „Stars for everyone for free”. 75 000 people came to that event. We started our part of the concert really late. It was dark outside. It was amazing to hear and see that crowd singing with us this song.

4. Rette mich (Rescue me)
Actually that’s the only sad song from out first album „Schrei”. It is about suffering from love. Even though I hink I’m still young and I haven’t had too many love failures. But I’ve had an opportunity to taste real love comedown. I felt realy lonely then. And I could express it in this song. That’s why it’s so sad. I was thinking about that many times, I mean about being with that girl. I remember, I was in a real depression and it hurt so much when it turned out that we were not going to be together any more. Only when your relationship is breaking up you begin to understand why it is happening. Especially when she wants to leave you. I suspect that a few girls from Magdeburg would think it’s about them. But it’s not about one precise girl.

5. Freunde bleiben (Stay Friends)
Pay attention to the verse where I sing „Better than dead Bill”. Of course no one has ever told me such thing but we liked these words. But I’m sure some people may think like that. But I think that way about some people, too. I hate insincere friends. Some people act really artificial and even if we have never been friends they tell us „Hi” every time they see us. This song is about a few people from Magdeburg that are like that. We really hate them!! But it’s good there are also these people in this world. I like discussig with them and so does Tom. We often provoke these jerks to these types of talks. And we have fun when we we can make fun of them! In these situations we just look at each other with Tom and both understand perfectly what’s going on!

6. Ich bin nicht ich (I am not I)
This song is about a broken heart. It means that sometimes you are in love with somebody but you have no chances to be with that person. And that’s the reason why you can feel lonely, rejected and different from all the others. I used to be in a situation like that: lost, sad, I didn’t know when I was going to see that girl who I loved again. After that every time I talked with my friends I was thinking about her. I couldn’t stop. Tom, Gustav and Georg didn’t understand me. Truly said I’m the only one in the band who has already been truly in love. But... that kind of farawell letter as in the lyrics I have never got in my life. Now you just sand an SMS.

7. Wenn nichts mehr geht (When you’re at a Loss)
I describe here what happens after death. Personally, I’m not afraid of it even though some people say I’m too young to have any considerations anout that. But... everyone of us wonders what happens AFTER. We are so lucky that in our family and among my freinds no one has ever died. So in real when we are playing that song we’re thinking about out pets. That’s so sad when they die. I really love dogs. I don’t know what I will do when mine will be gone. I have a 6 year-old one called Scotty.

8. Lass und hier raus (Let us out of here)
This song is about our dream of fame. When we were working on our album with the producer, we asked a question to ouerselves: God, what would it be like if we released any album? We really don’t feel like stars from the lyrics. We are the same guys as we were before. We are really happy while making music and it’s really cool when people say it’s good. And there is something more! We sing here „We are a boysband from a casting”. Some people think that way and we’re just making fun of it..

9. Gegen meinem Willen (Against my Will)
That’s about the divorce of out parents. This topic used to be very hard for us and we thought we shoud sing about it. We wrere surprised that no one had done it before us. In our generation there are many kids from split families. Aslo in our school Many of them had problems with talking and dealing with it. That’s why we wanted to express both our and their emotions.However, in our case it wasn’t exactly as in the song. Our parents, while divorcing, didn't’want us to suffer because of that. I wouldn’t like them to be together just because of us. They also should think about their feelings. Tom and I don’t think about that any more. We have a good contact with both of them. Still, we are a family.

10. Der letzte Tag (The last Day)
In this song I ask a question: What would I do in the last day of my live? I’d like to spend this day with all the people, who mean a lot for me. The idea for this song came to me, when I had a depression. I sing here „If that day is the last one, plese, don’t tell me that”

11. Jung und nich mehr jungfrei (Young and youth approved)
Everyone, who was with us in our tour, knows what this song means. Our menagers can confirm that. We always do what we want. That concerns our performances and appearance. After 2 days spent with us people usually nedd two weeks of vacation!

12. Unendlichkeit (Infinity)
We wrote this song on our own. It was made during aour recording session. We wrere working in the studio not in the city. We spent there really nice moments, we didn’t feel any pressure there. In summer we used to make water fights and in winter we moulded snowmen. We used to live many years in that area and this place gave us most of inspiration. This song is about an escape and beginning live in a new place. I’m really proud of this one as at came out from us. I feel we are good at what we do even if we’ve been so short together. But we are still getting famous and our concerts are getting btter. And I think that out first albym is really cool.
