BRAVO: One of your new songs is called "Beichte" ("Confessions"). Do the members of Tokio Hotel have reasons to make confessions?
Bill: Confessing in churches is familiar to me only from movies, but I would like to do that for myself
Tom: I never did that either, but if I did, I would make sure to make out something really repulsive to shock the priest
BRAVO: Don't you have any reasons for confessions?
Bill: Well now, we are not exactly angels. But, who is really all that good? We all sometimes do s***, but that's what makes us human. We are what we are, and sometimes we're sinners, but that doesn't mean we won't go to heaven in the end.
BRAVO: Does that meat you're believers?
Bill: Nah
Tom: Me either
Gustav: I am a protestant, but I almost never go to church and pray. I pray only for Christmas, together with my family
BRAVO: What is the biggest sing that you committed in your life?
Tom: I once stole my stepfather's car-keys, and then I turned on his "Renault Clio" and drove away with a few of my friends. It happened on the country side, so there weren't many cars, but I almost hit a tree. That’s how I scratched my stepfather's car, but I never told him that. He thinks someone scratched him on the parking
BRAVO: And does Tom have a guilty conscience about anything?
Tom: I always try to 'push out' those feelings. But in due time you start feeling guilty. Confessing ain't a bad thing
BRAVO: Georg, what did you do, but you shouldn't have done?
Georg: I once had a terrible fight with my friend. We were around 8 years old then. He ran across the backyard, and I threw a rock at him. But, because I didn't throw it hard enough, the rock fell on to the hood of a white "Mercedes". I instantly ran to my room and hid. For three weeks I didn't go outside! The owner of the "Mercedes" never found out what happened…
BRAVO: And you Bill?
Bill: Me and my friends went to have a drink once, but neither of us had any money on us. It resolved as a bravery test in the end: who sits there for the longest, wins! We had numerous cocktails, thus making an enormous bill. I was the last one sitting, and then the waiter came and asked me to pay. I told him that I have to go to the bathroom, and then I took my stuff and sneaked out the back door. I was really scared!"
BRAVO: And you Gustav? Are you, perhaps, the angel?
Gustav: Well now…I did stupid stuff too. Once, me and my friend were bored, so we decided to gather dog poo and wrap it in newspaper. We left that 'package' in front of a random door, set it on fire, rang the doorbell and then we ran away. When the guy came out of the house, he saw the fire and stepped on it. He turned off the fire, but he had dog shit all over his shoe! It was so fun!!!
BRAVO: Where you guys ever involved in a fight?
Tom: Bill and I always fight…
Bill: In fourth grade we had a fight with a guy from the ninth grade. It was very nasty-we knocked out that guys tooth!
Georg: Once in dancing lessons, I hit this guy with my elbow in the jaw! He was in lots of pain…
Gustav: I don't fight and I don’t believe in violence
Bill: Hey, that's not true! Gustav and I fought before!
BRAVO: What happened then?
Bill: We were fooling around, and then it turned serious…
Gustav: Bill was fooling around behind my back, and then he suddenly fell and hit the back of his head. He looked me with his eyes wide open and said: "Ok, that does it!" When I let him, he kicked me with all his strength!
Bill: Yeah, you have to watch out, I like to kick a lot. I already got in to a fight with Georg.
BRAVO: Do you drink sometimes?
Gustav: I don't drink
Bill: From time to time, why now? But, I am against all drugs! I will never try illegal drugs!
BRAVO: When was the first time you got drunks?
Bill: On fathers' day. In Magdeburg all the guys get together and celebrate by drinking from the morning till the evening. I was so drunk I couldn’t walk…
Georg: He fell asleep in the middle of the meadow and everyone was standing around him and laughing
Bill: When you get decently drunk, you get all soft and you want to cuddle…
BRAVO: Did you hide porno-magazines under your bed?
Georg: Why under the bed? I keep them on my desk
Bill: We don't need porno-magazines
BRAVO: Did you ever watch porno-movies?
Bill: Naturally! I have a few on my laptop. "One night in Paris" with Paris Hilton is a classic and everyone should watch it, or the one with Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee
BRAVO: Do your parents know about it?
Georg: Of course
Tom: They think that every teenager should watch a porno at least once in his life
BRAVO: Did your parents ever catch you in a delicate situation?
Tom: The parents of one of my girlfriends once caught us two in bed. I think they were more embarrassed than us
BRAVO: Did you break many female hearts?
Bill: Never intentionally! But, we know that some of our fan-girls are sad because they can't be with us. We are sorry about that, but that's the way it is. We can't be fair with everyone. But we really don't want to hurt any girl, I really mean it!
BRAVO: How often do you lie?
Bill: I lie a lot. I'm very good at lying, so no one can see thru it.
Tom: I'm a good liar too
BRAVO: When was the last time you lied?
Georg: I lie mostly about my grades
Bill: I never did that. I always showed my mom all of my grades and I always got angry because of the teachers. She would then comfort me and say: "It'll all be alright, you'll fix those grades". But in school I was lying constantly!
BRAVO: When?
Bill: When I forget my homework or when I am late. It isn't hard for me to think of an excuse.
Gustav: I always had a good relationship with my teachers
Bill: Not me, I was merciless
BRAVO: Did you ever cheat in school?
Bill: Tom and I once had to do a paper on the death sentence, and we took everything we needed from the internet. A girl that was doing that paper got an A-, and we got an B because the teacher figured out that we stole the paper from the internet. We were lucky then! Anyone else would have got an F as big as a house because of that!
Gustav: Ah yes, school. I had a math teacher that was very cute
Georg: I think all teachers should be 20 years old and be hot blonds!
BRAVO: Speaking about blonds, your second song is called "Schwarz". What is it talking about?
Bill: That song is telling our story. We lived thru a lot this year: We got to the top of the single and album charts, won awards, got photographed for BRAVO. A lot of nice things are behind us, but in front of us the future is uncertain and we don't know how things will resolve from here. That's what we're singing about.
BRAVO: That song seems kinda dark. Is your future black?
Bill: Nah, just uncertain. We can't wait to find out what life will bring. I hope it isn't anything black
BRAVO: Do you perhaps lack a bit of optimism?
Bill: I am a total pessimist! I get frustrated easily over everything!
Georg: A fair amount of pessimism is useful because that means that you won't have too big expectations which means you wont be disappointed at the end.
Bill: I wish I was a bigger optimist
Tom: Me too. I think optimists are very cool. I always choose optimists for my friends. I don't want people to bring me down. I like it when people around me are happy and fun
BRAVO: What makes you angry?
Georg: No thinking about it. Animal torture!
Tom: That makes me really sad. I love animals. I wish I was a vegetarian.
Bill: Me too. Animals can't defend themselves. I wonder, what do you achieve when you torture animals. Why don't people pick on someone their own size?
Georg: I would beat up guys like that until they change.
BRAVO: What does someone need to do to make you hate them?
Georg: To kill a member of my family
Bill: If someone would act badly towards the people that are close to me or if he did something bad to them-I would be able to kill him!
Gustav: I would torture him slowly
